紫蘭 ― 2014年05月25日
前橋の自宅の庭に素適な紫蘭が咲いていた。今まで気にも留めなかったが、以前からこの時期咲いていたものと思う。たぶん何年も前にどなたからか頂いたものが自然に増えて庭に根付いたものと思う。
ーーー心ここにあらざれば見れども見えず、聞けども聞こえず、食らえどもその味わいを知らずーーーこれはS.46年頃の学生時代群大第1内科七条小次郎教授が授業で教えて下さった四書のうち「大学」にある言葉だが(君たち、診察は部屋に入った瞬間から全身を診て始まるのだよ、と、今総合能力志向が問題になっているが昔は当たり前だった、たとえ風邪でも必要なら尻のアナまで診ろ！と)、紫蘭を贈って下さった方にはどなただったか全く記憶にありませんが、申し訳なかったなあ、と今頃になって感謝する次第。その頃の私にとっては猫に小判、ブタに真珠だった。
