沼田の実家の庭先に、もう20年以上前からいつも同じ場所に春先になると黄色い花を咲かせる。雪があるうちから春の訪れを感じさせてくれるうれしい花だ。春先以外はその花の痕跡もないのに春先になると無から有を生じるようにわき出てくる、実にしぶとく逞しい。
夕方になると花は閉じる。
調べてみたら見かけとは裏腹に猛毒とのこと、アドニトキシン等20種類以上の毒素を含み花も葉も根も毒があり、有名なトリカブトより毒性が強いとのこと。但し食べなければ大丈夫、触るだけでは全く心配ないという。開花時期は2月-4月、6月になると地上部が枯れて根のみになるという。

I usually do not leave a ton of comments, but I looked at some of the responses
on 福寿草: ku-wab blog. I actually do have a couple of questions for you if it's allright.
Is it just me or does it give the impression like a few of the remarks come across like
they are written by brain dead visitors? :-P And, if you are writing on additional online sites, I
would like to follow anything new you have to post. Would you make a list
of the complete urls of your social community pages like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?
